My name is Joey Sadlon and i have just graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. I will be sitting for my NCLEX exam July 7, 2009. It is very interesting to see the committment of this student nurse in a time where patient centered care and evidence-base nursing constitute the most inportant tool in delivery of care. I admire your interest in this noble profession and your understanding of the cultural diversity in South Florida. I hope that you keep your devotion to nursing throughout your career and pursue your education to excel in the field of Nurse Anesthesist.

Advancing Optimal Health

I felt this entry should win over the other two posted. This person really seems to be grounded and know where she is going! It sounds like she has had experience in many cultural issues that have helped her to become an open minded person. She has high goals and will be in school for a while so I am sure that money is a factor in getting this education. I enjoyed her essay, it was very inspiring.

I want to be a nurse educator

I think this entry should win a scholarship. It sounds as though she needs the money first of all. Secondly, we really need nurse educators and she sounds like she has experience from her former career to do this. I was impressed with her honesty and the ability to juggle all she is juggling!
